In order for us to dispense your medicines you will need to send us your Private Prescription by post (signed by a UK doctor) after completing the payment process.

On completion of payment you will need to send your signed prescription to Brennans Pharmacy, 31-33 High Street, Ibstock, Leicestershire LE67 6LG. Please allow 3-5 working days from the date you post your prescription for your medicine to be delivered. Once we have received your prescription in the post and it is validated by our pharmacist, we aim to dispatch your medicines the next working day.

Each tablet contains 62.5mg Atovaquone and 25mg Proguanil.

The dose of Malarone Paediatric tablets depends on the weight of the child i.e. 11- 20 kg one tablet, 21- 30kg 2 tablets as a single dose, 31-40 kg 3 tablets as a single dose, over 40kg use Malarone tablets.

The daily dose should be taken once daily with food or a milky drink at the same time each day. The tablets should preferably be swallowed whole. If difficulties are encountered when dosing young children, the tablets may be crushed and mixed with food or a milky drink just prior to taking.

Malarone paediatric tablets can be started just one day before arriving in a malarious area and continued during the period of stay and for 7 days after leaving the area.

Malarone Paediatric is licensed to be used for travel to malarious areas of up to 28 days.

We recommend you take precautions to avoid being bitten by mosquitos, such as using mosquito repellants and sleeping under mosquito nets.
