For the prevention and treatment of malaria caused by the Plasmodium falciparum parasite. Particularly useful for preventing malaria in travellers to areas where this parasite is known to be resistant to other antimalarials such as chloroquine

In order for us to dispense your medicines you will need to send us your Private Prescription by post (signed by a UK doctor) after completing the payment process.
On completion of payment you will need to send your signed prescription to Brennans Pharmacy, 31-33 High Street, Ibstock, Leicestershire LE67 6LG. Each tablets contain Mefloquine 250mg (as 274.09mg Mefloquine Hydrochloride)
For the prevention of malaria dose for adults and children over 45 kg : one tablet on the same day weekly starting at least one week before arrival in a malarious area, throughout stay and continued for at least 4 weeks after leaving
We recommend you also take precautions to avoid being bitten by mosquitos, such as using mosquito repellants and sleeping under mosquito nets, wearing long sleeved clothing long trousers and socks when outdoors after sunset
Avoid use in pregnancy
Avoid use if hypersensitive to quinine or if you have a history of seizures or psychiatric distrurbances, including depression
