For the prevention malaria in certain countries. Avloclor (chloroquine) can be bought from pharmacies without a prescription for this purpose; it is not prescribable on the NHS for preventing malaria

Each tablet contains Chloroquine 250mg
Please contact our pharmacist to check if these are the right anti-malarials for the part of the world you are visiting. This is because some types of malaria require that you take more than one type of tablet at the same time to help prevent malaria
For malaria prevention : Adults and children over 14 years: 2 tablets, Children 1-4 years : half of a avloclor tablet ,5-8 years: 1 avloclor tablet , 9-14 years one and half avloclor tablet. The tablets should be taken on the same day each week, starting at least one week before arrival in a malarious area throughout stay and continued for at least 4 weeks after leaving
Do not give to children under 1 year
Can cause flare ups in psoriasis so is not recommended
