Travel pack consisting of 98 tablets of Paludrine and 14 Tablets of Avloclor

Each Paludrine tablet contains : Proguanil hydrochloride 100 mg. Each Avloclor tablet contains : Chloroquine phosphate 250 mg

For prevention of malaria :Adult dose : 2 Paludrine tablets daily 1 week before, or if this is not possible, then at least 2 days before entering the malarious area. The daily dose of Paludrine should be continued throughout exposure to risk and for 4 weeks after leaving the area. A single dose of Avloclor should be taken each week on the same day each week. Start one week before exposure to risk, throughout stay and continue until 4 weeks after leaving the malarious area. Each dose should be taken with water after food.

Over 14 years: 2 Paludrine tablets at the same time each day. Two Avloclor tablets on the same day every week. 9-14 years: one and a half Avloclor tablets on the same day every week. 5-8 years: one Paludrine tablet at the same time each day. One Avloclor tablet on the same day every week. 1-4 years: half a Paludrine tablet at the same time each day. Half an Avloclor tablet on the same day every week. Under 1 year: not to be given.
