After a brief assessment and if appropriate, the flu jab is administered by a trained pharmacist in a private consulting room.The vaccination is quick, safe, and effective. Protection from flu begins one week to ten days after the injection and lasts for a year against similar flu viruses. The vaccine does not contain any live viruses and cannot give you flu.
Our pharmacist will NOT give you a seasonal flu jab If you are: under 18 years; actually or possibly pregnant; breast feeding; have a definite history of a severe local or general reaction to a previous dose of the vaccine; allergic to egg products, chicken protein or any other constituent of the vaccine. You may still be able to have the vaccine, please see your doctor for further advice
